A new retail home for Play it On - Let's make it happen!
Play it On is growing… and we now need to move to a bigger retail shop to accommodate all our sports gear and sell some of our larger fitness equipment.
It’s challenging to raise funds for a new shop while also purchase new shelving and hanging racks as we grow, and continuing to grant subsidsed sport club fees to kids in need
You can help in lots of ways!
You can support Play it On’s new retail home crowdfunding campaign in many ways:
If you can donate money that would be awesome.
If you can share the campaign on Facebook, Twitter, or by Email with your network that would be really awesome.
If you can help us with trades, shop fittings or a new premises that would be absolutely awesome!
We’ve been operating out of the old tennis club rooms in Gilles Plains for two years now and it has been a fantastic opportunity to set up a workshop space, to collect and collate the many donations of sports gear the good people of Adelaide have donated to us.
We started our Fix & Load program with young autistic people here, where they prepare donated items for sale and learn about inventory management, photography, e-commerce and customer service.
A new shop in a new location that’s more visible and open longer hours will help us get sporting gear to more people who need it!
While we have tried to find grants to help us secure the necessary funds, we haven’t had any luck. Often grant programs won’t let you spend on capital fitouts so we have decided to take charge ourselves and crowdfund the money to see our retail wishes come to fruition!
We’re now a not for profit and a registered charity, so we can offer a tax-deductible receipt when you donate to us.
We really want this to work so that we can help more people to play sport and even the playing field so that kids in financial hardship can also play sport instead of missing out as many do – can you help us by being a champ?
